The Bee Centre

The Bee Centre is located in Chorley, around a 20 minute drive from Preston city centre. The centre is multi-award-winning for bee-related education, breeding, and husbandry. You can pop into the centre for products created ethically from their bees, such as honey and candles, or book onto one of the centre's educational and hands-on courses. There are also observation hives and outdoor hives.

You can add to your day by visiting the nearby Cuckoo's Nest Gin Bar and Coffee Stop for a drink and bite to eat.

Courses and experiences

The Bee Centre offer training courses as well as a Bee Experience day. This experience gives you a feel of what it is like to be a beekeeper, including lots of hands-on experience with the bees. You will learn how they work together to thrive and produce some of the centre's honey. You will also get a sit-down honey tasting with one of the centre's beekeepers, where you will dive into the history of the delicious food.
